DiXiM Home Network SDK complies with the Windows 7 Network Media Device specification, one of the specifications required by the Windows 7 logo requirements, and will be helping engineers and designers by supporting the Windows 7 Network Media Device requirements and DLNA Guidelines.

LLTD (Link Layer Topology Discovery)
Supports the “Network Map” feature, implemented in Windows Vista or above, which enables a graphical display of the connection status of the devices on the network in the network map.
PnP-X (Plug and Play Extensions)
Supports PnP-X, used for recognizing Windows 7-supported network devices as Windows internal devices.
Changing devices’ friendly names via web browser
Supports device access via a web browser, allowing changes to devices’ friendly names. (Mandatory feature for Windows 7-supported DMS.)
WMV (Windows Media Video) and WMA (Windows Media Audio)
Supports WMV9 and WMA profiles. (Mandatory feature for Windows 7-supported DMS.)
Meta data
Supports meta data that is optional in the DLNA Guidelines and meta data extensions added by Microsoft. (Mandatory feature for Windows 7-supported DMS.)
Correct album art display
Supports the prohibition of the exposure of Windows album arts as photo images by default. (Mandatory feature for Windows 7-supported DMS.)
Simultaneous connections
Supports the simultaneous distribution of more than one stream. (Mandatory feature for Windows 7-supported DMS.)
Time-based seek
Supports time-based seek. (Mandatory feature for Windows 7-supported DMS.)

DiXiM UPnP SDK

DiXiM UPnP SDK facilitates the development of home network client devices with built-in UPnP AV Control Point and devices with built-in UPnP Device. Having Media Server Control Point and Media Renderer Control Point features defined in the UPnP AV specification, DiXiM UPnP SDK strongly helps engineers who develop DLNA Guidelines-supported products such as DMP(Digital Media Player), M-DMP(Mobile Digital Media Player), DMC(Digital Media Controller), and M-DMC(Mobile Digital Media Controller), as well as Upload Controller, Download Controller, Printing Controller, and more.

DiXiM UPnP SDK also provides the followings:

Sample source code for device classes and device capabilities defined in DLNA Guidelines, which can be used for implementing network protocol; therefore engineers can focus on their products’ differentiators, such as UI customization.
Library including the UPnP AV MediaRendererDevice:1 feature for the development of DLNA DMR(Digital Media Renderer).
Support for UPnP specifications adding to the UPnP AV specification, such as Basic Device, Internet Gateway Device (IGD), Low Power, Printer Basic, and Printer Enhanced.
Support for HD Recording Link (HDRL).

Library and Sample source code based on UPnP AV Control Point feature, which enable the following features required for highly practical client devices:

CDS crawler feature that makes a database of all contents stored in server devices on the home network and categorizes these contents.

File crawler feature that integrates contents in local storage devices with contents in other server devices on the home network and handles these contents.

Feature that treats internet contents, such as YouTube and Flickr contents, equivalently to the contents on the home network.

Feature that extracts meta data, such as, title, artist name, duration, and resolution, from contents in various file formats.

DiXiM DMS SDK

DiXiM DMS SDK can be used for the development of home network server devices with build-in UPnP AV MediaServer Device. It provides the followings:

Support for UPnP AV MediaServerDevice:1 and implementations of ContentDirectoryService:1 and ConnectionManagementService:1.
Source code that works as DMS(Digital Media Server) with UDO(Upload Device Option) in DLNA Guideline v1.5. It is based on the source code used when DigiOn earned the DLNA Logo Certification and has been improved continuously. Pass in the DLNA CTT v1.5 is guaranteed.
