DigiOn Develops DTCP-IP Enabled Media Player And Renderer,
Adopted For I-O DATA DEVICE,INC.’s Network Media Player

Fukuoka, Japan – DigiOn has developed DiXiM Media Player, an embedded application providing its DTCP-enabled digital media player and renderer features. The product has been adopted for AVeL Link Player AV-LS700, a network media player to be released by I-O DATA DEVICE,INC in late December, 2009, as a part of its firmware.

AVeL Link Player AV-LS700 is based on digital media player (DMP) functionality which enables multimedia content saved on media servers on a home network to be played back over the network. Digital media renderer (DMR) functionality is also included, permitting it to play back media in response to commands from other controlling devices. Both DMP and DMR features support DTCP-IP, allowing playback of digital broadcasting programs recorded with DTCP-IP enabled server devices. The DMR feature will be obtaining the Compatible with Windows 7 logo as a Windows 7 Network Media Device Digital Media Renderer, in addition to DLNA Certified™ certification as a DLNA® Digital Media Renderer (DMR).

DigiOn offers a wide variety of DTCP-IP enabled products, including the DiXiM Media Player for embedded players, the DiXiM Digital TV series player software for Windows PCs, and DiXiM Media Server series for server devices, and continues to promote DLNA technologies and home network streaming of recorded digital broadcasting programs.
