DigiOn’s In-house DTCP-IP Enabled Media Server Software
For Windows 7 Adopted For I-O DATA DEVICE,INC.’s TV Capture Devices
Fukuoka, Japan – DigiOn has developed DiXiM Media Server 3 for Media Center TV, server software that allows digital broadcasting programs recorded with Windows 7's Windows Media Center to be shared within a home network. The product has been adopted for GV-MC7/VS and GV-MC7/VZ, TV capture devices for terrestrial/BS/110 degree CS digital broadcasting, and a terrestrial digital broadcasting TV capture device GV-MC7/HZ3, released by I-O DATA DEVICE,INC. in late October, 2009.
On Windows 7 (some editions excepted), users can view, record, and play digital broadcasting programs using the Windows Media Center functionality by purchasing a TV capture device compatible with Windows 7. In addition, installing DiXiM Media Server 3 for Media Center TV will enable DTCP-IP streaming of digital broadcasting programs recorded with Windows Media Center over a home network. Using a DigiOn DTCP-IP enabled player application from its DiXiM Digital TV series and a digital TV device compatible with DTCP-IP streaming playback, viewers can watch digital broadcasting programs recorded with Windows 7 elsewhere on their home networks.
By encouraging PC peripheral device manufacturers to bundle DiXiM Media Server 3 for Media Center TV with their Windows 7 Windows Media Center compatible TV capture devices, DigiOn continues to promote home network streaming of DTCP-IP recorded digital broadcasting programs on Windows 7.
