“DiXiM SDK ” Standard Adopted for Hitachi’s HDTV
“Wooo series ” 2009 Model.

Fukuoka, Japan – DigiOn's “DiXiM SDK ” product, a software development kit for home networks devices developed in-house, has been adopted for all 15 products in the “Wooo series” of terrestrial/BS/110 CS digital HDTVs sold by Hitachi, Ltd. for the Japan market. The products launch April 25th, 2009.

The “Wooo series”, as befits internet HDTV, is DLNA certified as digital media players (DMP). Furthermore, the use of the “DiXiM DTCP-IP SDK” enables the distribution of DTV programs recorded by the “Wooo series” and/or contents downloaded by the “acTVila video download service” within home networks while maintaining their copyright protection. Users can enjoy  these programs in throughout the house using the “Wooo series ” or other devices equipped with a DTCP-IP supported DNLA media player.

The “DiXiM SDK” is a middleware SDK for home networks, offering support for variety of platforms, including digital home appliances, PCs, and portable devices. Products using the “DiXiM SDK” ship all over the world with volumes already exceeding 10 million units, proving the achievement and quality of the “DiXiM SDK”. Adopting the “DiXiM SDK ” allows hardware and software manufacturers to develop UPnP AV enabled or DLNA certified products in a short period of time.
