DigiOn® unveils DiXiM® SDK new version
supporting Windows 7 NMD specs

Fukuoka, Japan – Nov. 5th, 2008 -- DigiOn, Inc. announced the availability of the DiXiM SDK supporting Windows 7 Network Media Device specification. This SDK will be released on Nov. 28th, 2008. DigiOn also announced that the company will be shipping hardware reference devices for Digital Media Servers and Digital Media Renderers.

‘DiXiM SDK new version’
DigiOn decided to expand its DiXiM SDK by implementing Windows 7 Network Media Device requirements. Using the DigiOn SDK, developers can accelerate their Network Media Device development for Windows 7, in addition to supporting DLNA guidelines.

Windows 7 Network Media Device profiles include Digital Media Controllers, Digital Media Renderers, and Digital Media Servers. The new DiXiM SDK provides sample programs for each of these device classes. In addition to the existing advanced feature set of the DigiOn DiXiM SDK, such as DLNA ver. 1.5 support, content search, Windows Media CODEC support, thumbnail display, and time seek; the new version of the SDK also implements PnP-X, LLTD, Windows Media meta data support, and additional features to ensure a great experience interoperating with Windows 7.
‘Testing Device for Network Media Device development’
DigiOn also announced that the company will provide reference devices for Windows 7 Network Media Device development. The DMS and DMR reference devices will conform to the Windows 7 logo requirements and will significantly reduce the time to develop compliant products.  DigiOn will be setting details and make information available on its web page by Nov. 28th, 2008.
