DigiOn unveils latest middleware ‘DiXiM DMA 3.6’ for Digital Media Player,
and hardware dedicated Product Lines

Fukuoka, Japan– January 8th, 2007 -- DigiOn®, Inc. today announced the latest DMA (Digital Media Adapter) Platform Software, version 3.6, and Hardware Dedicated Product Lines targeted the Sigma Designs SMP8634 and EM8622L.

DigiOn DiXiM is the brand name for home network middleware products which the company is providing. Including DLNA™ certified products, DiXiM middleware has been the choice of CE customers in the market.

Ver. 3.6 is targeted towards the value product line. It provides an Internet Browser feature on top of the existing DiXiM DMA for the Sigma Designs EM8620L chip. With a faster CPU and larger memory space, it provides stable operation and faster response times increasing the overall End User experience. It also supports ’Podcasting Data Playback’. Users can import URL lists through USB, and play back the content, even without using a PC. It opens a new era of non-PC usage digital media life. DiXiM DMA ver.3.6 will be available in Q1/2007.

Beyond DiXiM DMA ver.3.6, though still in the concept stage, ver.4.0 will be coming out as a flagship product late 2007. Not only supporting the Sigma Designs SMP8634 chip, but also features the newly developed ‘Adaptive Module Architecture’. This new feature  provides easier customization of the middleware as well as offering more flexibility for the method of accessing content.

Both ver.3.6 and ver.4.0 will be demonstrated at 2007 International CES in Las Vegas.

To support PlaysForSure™ on final products, manufacturer is required to pass NSTL pre-submission test for PFS™ individually. PlaysForSure™ logo program is currently available only in U.S.A.
